Geographical Information Systems

Through my skills attained from Computer Science, I have been able to excel in this field of data and sattellite imagery manipulation. I have achieved top of my class in all of my final projects. I love analyzing patterns and discovering new facts, which motivates me when I apply myself to this field of discovery and display.

Predicting Pollutants around New York

The title officially called "Predicting NO₂, O₃, PM_2.5 and Clustering Regions with Similar Traits in New York and Contiguos States (2016)" was a final project completed from March to April 2020. We focused on predicting the levels of each of these air pollutants in our study area where there were lack of monitoring stations using High-Level Statistical & Spatial Analysis. This project recieved a mark of 98%.

Desertification in Russia

The title officially called "Determining the Presence of Desertification between 1999 and 2019 in Volgograd Russia using NDVI, NDMI, and TGSI" was a final project completed in April 2020. In 1999, Volgograd Russia began a civic effort to reduce desertification and revitalize their agricultural land. We performed an analysis over a span of 20 years that determined how the efforts fared, and whether any progress had been made. This project recieved a mark of 96%.

Toronto House Price Analysis

A project designed for new house buyers in Toronto. I used census data and processed that data to see how affordable homes were based on multiple pre-assigned criteria, as well as one critera of my own. I decided to study housing prices in related to children density, so new families would be able to see where other families are purchasing homes in Toronto, which may imply the pricing may be lower since families are more price conscientious as they require houses with more rooms and space.
